The Baltimore County Government exercised its option to renew its contract with Technical Specialties, Inc., for cabling and wiring services. TSpec provides cabling and wiring services in support the Counties Network Services division. The Maryland Deportment of Information Technology has issued a Task Order Agreement to extend its contract with Technical Specialties, Inc. Under this contract TSpec provides "Service Desk Support Services" to DoIT and other agencies throughout the State of Maryland.

The General Services Administration (GSA) issued a multi-year contract extension through January 2022. TSpec provides under its GSA Contract professional IT Staffing, IT Network Integration, Cabling and Low Voltage Services, and Hardware Support services to Federal Sector clients under SINS 132-18, 132-12, and 132-51. This contract extension allows TSpec the opportunity to continue providing critical Information Technology Services to the Federal Government.

Through competitive bid, The Maryland Department of Information Technology has awarded Technical Specialties, Inc. a five year base contract. We are pleased to be recommended to be a master contractor providing Cable & Wiring Materials and service support to agencies throughout the State of Maryland. Task will include installing terminated and unterminated copper and fiber optic cable, as well as ancillary equipment used to support data, video and voice applications.

Through competitive bid, The City of Alexandria Government has selected Technical Specialties, Inc., to provide Audio/Video upgrades and installations to several conference rooms throughout its city. This was a complicated and carefully designed solution that focused on simplicity and multiple zones that could be used independently or simultaneously within a conference room.

TSpec has been contracted to supports its schools and administrative offices throughout the City of Alexandria.

The National Institute of Health, Department of Clinical Research Informatics has contracted with Technical Specialties, Inc., to provide maintenance and support services to hundreds of printers located on their Bethesda, Maryland campus. The Department of Clinical Research Informatics (DCRI) is responsible for creating and maintaining the technological infrastructure necessary to support the clinical and research activities conducted in the NIH Clinical Center (CC). This includes building and maintaining servers and client applications, configuring and deploying desktop and laptop computers for CC and IC staff, developing custom applications, maintaining system operations, and managing databases.

Through competitive bid, TSpec was awarded a statewide printer maintenance contract supporting The Maryland State Board of Elections. The mission of the State Board is to provide all eligible citizens of the State convenient access to voter registration; to provide all registered voters accessible locations in which they may exercise their right to vote, to ensure uniformity of election practices; to promote fair and equitable elections; and to maintain registration records, campaign fund reports, and other election-related data accurately and in a form that is accessible to the public.

TSpec provides cabling and wiring services in support of the City's information Technology Department. TSpec was selected by The Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission to provide low voltage cabling services for its locations in Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties. TSpec will be providing services for moves, add, and changes as well as major projects.

October 2015
TSpec began a new construction project providing voice, data, and coax cabling for the new 25,000 square feet Maryland State Highway Administration State Highway Facility in Cambridge Maryland. The project includes the design and build out of M.D.F. and Data/Telecom rooms. The project began in April and is expected to be completed on time - on budget in December 2015.

August 2015
TSpec was selected to install a structured low voltage cabling plant for the expansion at the Baltimore VA Medical Center. The expansion which began this fall aims to improve access for new patients, many of whom wait months for their first appointments.

TSpec was selected by the Baltimore County Public Libraries to install cabling for all its branches. The new cabling will support the installation of new state-of-the-art security cameras. The project will be completed in phases and is expected to begin in August of 2015.

The Department of Human Resources (DHR) is Marylandís fourth largest State department. More than 6,400 full-time employees rely on DHR's Office of Technology for Human Services (OTHS) to develop, enhance, and maintain mission-critical systems that support the delivery of social services, track activities, and manage outcomes.

TSpec is re-awarded, through a competitive bid, a multi-year contract by the Comptroller of Maryland. TSpec will be responsible for diagnosing and problem resolution for thousands of computers, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices throughout the State of Maryland. As a result of this contract award, TSpec is also tasked with supporting The Register of Wills and it's 24 statewide offices throughout the State of Maryland.

The Maryland Department of Information Technology (DoIT) has awarded TSpec a five-year contract to provide up to twenty concurrent personnel resources as needed to provide IT Service/Help Desk services for the duration of the contract. DoIT supports agency IT operations and statewide applications through an existing IT Service Desk in Annapolis, MD. This Service Desk handles over 30,000 calls per year and its duties are continually expanding.

The National Capital Planning Commission renewed a contract with TSpec to provide additional technology support capacity for NCPC information technology infrastructure. NCPC requires TSpec to provide one full-time information technology support specialist. The full-time information technology specialist will provide Tier 1/Tier 2 Help Desk applications and hardware support, network operations, audio-visual, general administrative and operational support.

The scope of this project includes testing Windows 2010 and all required applications. TSpec will present, review and validate a project plan including milestones, project details, change process and site logistics. We will consult with IMLS personnel to coordinate, finalize and implement the approved rollout.

Our partnership positions TSpec to compete globally and further expands our Managed Service and Staffing solutions business. Our mission was to design and install a multi-user telecommunications infrastructure for Prince George's Countyís newest and most technically advanced school of its kind in the county.

TSpec is awarded a large exclusive project to install approx. 1500 category 6E data/voice drops for the Laurel High School addition in Prince Georgeís County Maryland. TSpec was enlisted to coordinate with the county office of technology to design and install a multi-user telecommunications system to include, single and multi-mode fiber optic cabling, CATV, Audio Enhancement, Proactive White Boards and a TV Control Room.
